Based on the 2022 Food Consumption Behavior Survey, this study analyzed the impact of food consumption habits on the dietary satisfaction of the elderly amidst rapid global aging. Using the ordered probit model, findings revealed higher dietary satisfaction with increased interest in health, food safety, and primary food group intake. However, alcohol consumption and skipping lunch lowered their satisfaction. Differences between single-person and multi-person households were also examined, with elderly men in single-person households showing relatively higher satisfaction. This research contributes to suggesting food consumption behaviors to enhance elderly dietary satisfaction, with outcomes expected to aid in improving their quality of life.
