An Examination of Xi Jinping’s New Era View from the Perspective of Marxist Era Theory

The era is the mother of ideas, and practice is the source of theory. Since the reform and opening up, especially since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the domestic and international situation has undergone tremendous changes. Xi Jinping’s new era view has emerged in the context of great development, great change and great adjustment. The proposal and formation of Xi Jinping’s new era view is not accidental, but an important judgment on the nature of the times based on profound changes in the characteristics of the times. The theory of Marxist classic theorists on the issue of the times is the ideological foundation of Xi Jinping’s new era view. The emergence of Xi Jinping's new era view is an inevitable result of China’s socialist historical development and a reflection of the changed social existence in social consciousness.
