서울 청년은 어떠한 가족 형태를 원하는가? : 잠재계층분석을 활용한 청년의 가족 형태와 특성

What type of family structure do Seoul youth desire? : Family structure and characteristics of youth utilizing latent class analysis

본 연구는 서울청년패널조사를 활용하여 서울 청년의 가족관계 만족도와 가족가치관에 따라 집단을 유형화하여 집단별 특성을 확인하며, 서울청년이 원하는 가족 형태의 차이와 이에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 요인들을 탐색하는 연구이다. 본 연구를 위해 첫째, 청년들이 원하는 가구 형태가 무엇인지를 파악하고 그 차이를 비교한다. 둘째, 잠재계층분석(Latent Class Analysis: LCA)을 활용하여 청년세대 내의 가족관계 만족도와 가족가치관 인식의 차이를 탐색한다. 주요 연구 결과를 살펴보면, 첫째, 가족가치관과 가족관계 만족도를 기반으로 잠재계층분석을 한 결과 총 4개의 집단(중간수준의 가족관계 만족도와 가족가치관, 낮은 가족관계 만족도와 보수적 가족가치관, 보통수준의 가족관계 만족도와 개방적 가족가치관, 높은 가족관계 만족도와 보수적 가족가치관)이 도출되었다. 둘째, 4개 집단의 특성을 분석한 결과, 낮은 가족관계 만족도는 현재의 삶뿐만 아니라 미래의 안정성에 대한 부정적 인식과 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 높은 가족관계 만족도는 결혼 의향 및 전통적 가구 구성 의지와 관련이 있는 것으로 유추할 수 있다.

This study utilizes the Seoul Young Adult Panel Study(SYPS) to classify groups according to the satisfaction of family relationships and family values of young people in Seoul, confirming the characteristics of each group. The study explores the differences in the desired family types of Seoul youth and factors that may influence them. Firstly, The Latent Class Analysis, based on family values and family relationship satisfaction, resulted in four groups: 1) Group with moderate family relationship satisfaction and moderate family values 2) Group with low family relationship satisfaction and conservative family values 3) Group with moderate family relationship satisfaction and open family values 4) Group with high family relationship satisfaction and conservative family values. Secondly, Analyzing the characteristics of the four groups revealed that low family relationship satisfaction is associated with negative perceptions of current life and future stability. Additionally, high family relationship satisfaction is inferred to be related to the intention to marry and a preference for traditional household composition.
