수상학의 이론과 활용방안에 관한 연구 - 주요 질병 예측을 중심으로

A Study on Palmistry Theory and its Application Method : Focusing on predicting major diseases

사람은 누구나 건강하게 살고 싶어 하며 이를 위해 끊임없이 노력한다. 과학과 의학 기술의 발달로 암과 같은 질병을 예측하고 예방하려 하지만 아직도 많은 사람은 병마와 싸우며 고통을 받고 있거나 급작스러운 결과에 망연자실하기도 한다. 질병은 발병하기 전에 예방하는 것이 무엇보다도 중요하다. 이를 위해 매번 병원에 가는 번거로움 대신, 쉽고 간단하게 자신의 건강을 진단할 방법이 있다면 예방에 훨씬 큰 도움이 될 것이다. 본 연구는 수상학의 기본 이론을 고찰하고 한국인의 주요 질병 4가지를 수상학을 통해 예측하는 방법을 연구하는 것을 주목적으로 한다. 수상학과 관련된 논문은 설혜심의 ｢17세기 삶의 희망과 두려움 : 영국 수상학서(手相學書) 분석｣을 포함하여 총 3편으로 다른 학문에 비해 충분한 연구가 이루어지지 않고 있기에 본 연구를 통해 수상학에 관한 관심이 높아지는 계기가 되길 바란다. 이를 위해 수상학의 연원과 이론을 고찰하였다. 그 결과 수상학은 3,000년이 넘는 역사를 가지고 연구됐으며 동양의 수상학이 전해져 서양의 수상학이 발전되어 왔음을 알게 되었다. 또한 손의 모양과 색깔, 손금의 모양에 따라 그 사람의 성격과 직업적성, 길흉화복이 달라진다는 것을 파악하였다. 또한 수상학을 질병 예측에 활용하기 위해서 한국인의 4대 사망원인으로 꼽히는 암과 심장질환, 폐 질환과 뇌 질환을 발견하는 방법에 관해서 연구하였다. 결론적으로 손의 구(丘)와 손의 선(線), 찰색(色) 기준으로 주요 질병 4가지를 파악할 수 있으며 이는 수상학이 질병 예측 도구로 충분히 활용될 수 있다는 것이다.

Everyone wants to live a healthy life and constantly strives for it. With the development of science and medical technology, people try to predict and prevent diseases such as cancer, but many are still suffering from illness or are devastated by sudden results. It is more important than anything else to prevent diseases in advance than to treat them after the outbreak. To this end, instead of going to the hospital every time, it would be much greater help for prevention if there is an easy and simple way to diagnose health. The main purpose of this study is to examine the basic theory of Palmistry and to study how to predict four major diseases of Koreans through this. Theses related to Palmistry are Seol hye-sim's “17th Century Life Hope and Fear : Analysis of British Palmistry” and 2 other studies. As compared to other studies, sufficient research has not been conducted. I hope this study will increase interest in Palmistry. The origin and theory of Palmistry were reviewed. As a result, it was found that Palmistry has been studied with a history of more than 3,000 years and that Western Palmistry has been developed through the transmission of Eastern Palmistry. In addition, it was also found that the person's personality, vocational aptitude, and fortunes vary depending on the shape, color of the hand, and the shape of the palm lines. This study uses Palmistry to detect cancer, heart disease, lung disease, and brain disease, which are considered the four major causes of death in Korea.
