Interest in sustainable management is being paid to our industry. Sustainable management has developed into a management technique that combines the concept of sustainability with corporate management method to become a continuing company, and is used as a concept that combines sustainable development and corporate social responsibility. In this study, review of the literature of previous studies on HR management flexibility and sustainable management, a survey and in-depth interview were conducted. The main research results are as follows. First, it was found that when implementing the HR system, it was necessary to spread the concept of compensation focused on individuals rather than organizations, wage management operation linked to corporate performance, and transition to a performance culture. Second, in terms of performance management, it was confirmed that interest in personalization management that emphasized the role and responsibility of employees is increasing, reinforcing individualized evaluation by combining task achievement and difficulty, introducing the concept of role-based performance management, and spreading the concept of job difficulty for the execution of individual evaluation/compensation. Third, it was confirmed that there was a need to consider the introduction of the concept of individual labor contracts and conceptualize the practice items of wage flexibility within the allowable category of the labor law system. From a sustainable management perspective, it has been confirmed that the predictive visibility and communication of compensation should be paramount, and the results and implications are expected to serve as a focus to strengthen the sustainability of ESG-based management activities of companies in the future.
