This squib offers a refinement of Kim & Chung’s (2017) analysis on talta suppletion. Talta suppletion arises when the addressee is prompted to engage in the act of giving to the speaker within the Haylachey and Halachey honorific contexts. The manifestation of the allomorph is influenced by the honorific feature of the sa head, which is apparently located in a non-local position with respect to a verb root. This discrepancy is addressed through phase extension. Furthermore, it introduces the [speaker] feature to reconcile talta suppletion across both matrix and embedded contexts.
