시각장애인의 박물관 관람을 위한 감상 보조 방법 적용 연구

A Study on the Application of Assistance Methods to Appreciate Historic Relics for People with Visually Disabilities

본 연구의 목적은 3D와 음성설명의 감상 보조 방법을 이용하여 시각장애인의 입체 역사유물 감상 이해도 평가를 통해 역사유물의 감상이해도를 향상하는 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 감상 보조 방법을 이용하여 4종의 역사유물을 감상하고 이해도 평가를 진행하였다. 연구 결과, 연구참여자들은 감상 보조 방법을 통해 역사유물을 감상하는 데 주요한 요소들을 인식하였다. 연구참여자들은 3D 모형을 이용하여 감상하였을 때 역사유물을 촉각을 통해 직접적으로 감상할 수 있음에 만족했고 음성설명을 이용하여 촉각만으로 인식할 수 없는 부분에 대해 알 수 있음에 만족하였다고 답하였다. 본 연구를 통해 박물관에서 역사유물의 감상 보조 방법을 제공할 때 고려할 점을 제시하였다. 향후 연구로는 박물관에서 감상 보조 방법을 제공할 때 발생하는 다양한 요소를 고려한 지침 연구가 필요하다.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate appreciation assistance methods of 3D model printouts and audio explanations of four historical relics for blind people. As a result, five participants with visual disabilities recognized the main elements through appreciating 3D model printouts and audio explanations of historical relics. The participants responded that they were satisfied with being able to directly appreciate tactile objects from the historical relics. Also, they were satisfied that they learned about the parts of the 3D model printouts and historical backgrounds with audio explanations. Otherwise they could not know them with only tactile method. Through this study, we presented suggestions to address when providing assistance methods to appreciate historical relics for people with visual disabilities in museums. Future research is needed to make guidelines that take into account various factors that arise when museums provide appreciation assistance methods for those with visual disabilities.
