이 논문은 시에 나타나는 이미지 작동 공간의 양상과 의미를 장정일 시를 통해서 살펴본 것이다. 이미지의 본성을 움직임이자 시간으로 보는 질 들뢰즈의 이론은 시인에게 지각된 세계의 이미지들이 운동성에 의해 어떻게 전이 변용되면서 시적 현실이나 정신기호로 이미지화되는지를 알아보는 데에 유효한 연구방법론이다. 이미지의 운동성을 신체와 정신을 재인하는 주체로 보고 있는 이 관점의 연구는 시에서의 또 다른 이미지 기능을 볼 수 있다. 이미지 작동 공간의 양상은 한 시인을 대상으로 할 때 더 깊이 살펴볼 수 있다는 점에서 현대사회의 경험적 문제들을 다양한 시적 방법론으로 이미지화하는 장정일 시를 대상으로 하였다. 장정일 시에 나타나는 이미지 작동 공간의 양상은 다음과 같다. 첫째는 시에서 자본주의 이미지들이 본성적인 감각 기억과 조우하면서 신체성을 재인하는 이미지 운동으로 나타난다. 이것은 자본주의 광고 이미지가 우리의 신체성을 변화시키는 주범임을 지각한 장정일의 의식이 이미지화된 것이다. 둘째는 시에서 청소년기 기억들이 ‘회전’되면서 권력의 폭력성을 공유하는 이미지 운동으로 나타난다. 이것은 시라는 매개체를 통해 장정일의 개인 기억이 권력의 폭력성을 다수가 지각하는 공동체적 기억으로 나아가기를 바라는 의식이 이미지화된 것이다. 셋째는 시에서 거짓 논리의 정신기호들로, 세계의 진리를 실각하는 이미지 운동으로 나타난다. 이것은 정신기호로서 시의 이미지들이 갖는 속성과 사유의 가능성을 이용해서 사회 변화성을 강조하고자 하는 의지가 이미지화된 것이다. 이러한 사실은 이미지가 감각의 조직 내에서 작동하든 아니든 간에 우리의 사유체계와 관련이 있음을 보여준다. 특히 운동성으로 인해 이미지가 전이되고 변형, 창조되는 과정에서 발생하는 ‘차이의 이데아’는 우리의 신체적 정신적 경험을 새롭게 재인하거나 사유를 가능하게 한다는 점에서 이미지 운동의 중요성을 말해준다. 특히 시인에 의해 현실화된 시적 이미지들이 개인의 차원을 넘어 시를 읽는 독자들의 의식이나 행동을 변화시키는 이미지 운동으로 확장되는 것은 많은 것을 시사한다. 이것은 시적 이미지가 단순한 문학적 현상으로서의 의식이나 언어를 넘어서서 신체와 정신의 경험을 재해석하고, 새로운 존재성과 실존성을 만드는 주체라는 것을 의미한다.

This thesis examines the aspect and meaning of image working space in poems through Jang Jeong-il's poems.,Gilles Deleuze's theory, which sees the nature of images as movement and time, is a valid research methodology to examine how the images of the world perceived by the poet are transformed by mobility and imaged as poetic reality or mental symbols.,The study of this point of view, which sees the motility of image as the subject of recognition of body and mind, will see another image function in poetry. The aspects of image working space in Jang Jeong-il's poems are as follows: First, capitalistic images in poems are shown as image movements that recognize physicality by encountering with natural sensory memories.Second, the memories of adolescence in the poem are turned around and appear as an image movement that shares the violence of power Third, it appears as an image movement that defeats the truth of the world with mental symbols of false logic in the poem. These facts show that images, whether operating within the organization of the senses or not, are relevant to our thinking systems.,In particular, the idea of difference that occurs in the process of transferring, transforming, and creating images due to mobility tells us the importance of image movement in that it enables us to newly recognize our physical and mental experiences or enable new thinking.,In particular, the fact that the poetic images realized by the poet extend beyond the individual level to the image movement that changes the consciousness or behavior of readers who read poetry suggests many things. Furthermore, this means that the poetic image is a subject that reinterprets the physical and mental experience beyond the consciousness or language as a simple literary phenomenon and creates a new existence and existence.,It is meaningful to confirm the fact that the reality and potentiality are not only meaningful because the image moves as a consciousness, but also expanded and changed into the possibility of new thinking.,Furthermore, this study is significant in that it expanded the scope of theoretical consideration in the study of Korean poetry and Jang Jeong-il's poetry and expanded the interpretation of poetry world.
