Given the swift evolution of the artificial intelligence (AI) industry and technology, there arises an urgent necessity to innovate the pedagogical approach of AI courses within universities, ensuring alignment with the contemporary demands for talent development. This study seeks to develop a hybrid teaching model that integrates both online and offline resources in AI courses, by leveraging the CDIO (Conceive, Design, Implement, Operate) framework for engineering education. This model aims to reform traditional teaching methods, thereby augmenting students' engineering practice skills and fostering innovative thinking. Additionally, this research explores potential challenges and proffers strategic solutions, providing insightful perspectives on the blended online and offline teaching reform of AI courses within higher education institutions.
