This essay introduces that since Twitter is a well-known global medium for politics and culture, users have grown used to its vision and function, but Elon Musk as the former CEO, his decision of free speech means a huge change in this platform’s vision, function, as well as its responsibility for users who insist on staying. It is possible for users to get used to a software but not understand its function, and it is also possible for users to have a demand for a software but not understand its definition. The negative influence of this responsibility shift is difficult to predict, as enormous autonomy is measured by how it is given to global users. The purpose of this essay is to gather proof that the application of free speech carries some risks. The research method of this paper is the study and review of relevant news materials. This research finds that it takes a process to integrate the old problems and implement free speech. Such implementation may require endless adjustments in the future, but criticism has shown that Twitter’s current problem has become a kind of turmoil. Any course of action has repercussions. Consequently, one should not discount the dangers connected to Twitter’s change in duties.
