빅데이터 기반 지역사회개발 이슈 분석의 의미: 청도군 지역사회개발에 관한 LDA와 DMR 토픽모델링을 사례로

The Implication from Analyzing Community Development Issues: LDA & DMR Topic Modeling Analysis of Cheongdo-gun Case

본 연구는 지역사회개발 관련 연구에서 빅데이터 분석의 유용성을 살펴보고 함의를 도출하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2021년 인구감소 지역으로 지정되었으나 체류형 인구가 급증하는 청도군을 사례로 이 지역을 대상으로 하는 문헌연구와 함께, 2014년부터 2023년까지 빅카인즈에서 수집한 89개 언론사의 7,599개 뉴스 기사를 대상으로 LDA(Latent Dirichlet Allocation)와 DMR(Dirichlet Multinomial Regression) 토픽모델링을 수행하였다. 이 분석을 통해 청도군의 문화예술 콘텐츠, 생태·역사 관광 콘텐츠, 인구유입 정책, 지역축제, 공동체 활동 등 지역사회개발 이슈와 상호연관성, 변화 등을 파악할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 빅데이터를 활용한 LDA와 DMR 토픽모델링이 지역사회의 사회문화적 맥락에서 특정 이슈를 객관적으로 종합하여 보여준다는 점에서 의의를 지닌다.

This study aims to discover the utility of big data analysis in research related to community development and to derive meaningful implications. To achieve this, the case of Cheongdo-gun, despite of a designated depopulation area, experiencing a rapid increase in temporary residents, was examined. Alongside a literature review on the region, Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) and Dirichlet Multinomial Regression (DMR) topic modeling were conducted on 7,599 news articles from 89 media outlets collected from BigKinds between 2014 and 2023. This analysis enabled an understanding of the interrelations and changes among community development issues in Cheongdo-gun, such as cultural and artistic content, ecological and historical tourism, population influx policies, local festivals, and community activities. This study is significant in that it demonstrates how LDA and DMR topic modeling, using big data, objectively synthesizes specific issues within the sociocultural context of the community development.
