실천적 인성교육을 위한 교과목 개발과 효과 연구 - A대학의 ‘지역문제의 창의적 해결’ 교과목 사례

A Study on the Development and Effectiveness Subject for Character Education Focused on Experiential Learning : A Case of ‘Creative Community Problem-Solving’ Course at A University

본 연구는 인성교육 프로그램으로서‘지역 문제의 창의적 해결’교과목의 개발을 통해 지역사회가 내재한 실제 문제를 발견하고 해결함으로써 학생들의 실천적 인성을 효과적으로 함양하는 방안을 마련하는 데에 목적이 있다. 구체적으로 본 연구에서는 **대학교에서 실천·체험적인 인성교육과정 개발 사례를 소개한다. **대학교 2024년 교양 교육과정 개편안은 인성교육 영역을‘이론 교육’과 ‘문제해 결·체험 중시 교육’을 구분하여 관련 교과목 개발을 요구하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 연구 목표를 달성하기 위해 다음과 같은 단계를 거쳤다. 첫째, 기본적으로 대학의 인성 교과목은 단순한 윤리 차원을 넘어 대학의 건학이념, 인재상, 대학 교육 및 교양 영역 교육의 목표에 부합되게 구성하였다. 이에 **대학교 건학이념인 진(眞)·성(誠)·애(愛)의 가치에 적합하며 대학교육, 교양 교육과 연관성을 확보할 수 있도 록 인성교육 교과목 목표와 핵심역량을 설계하였다. 둘째, 본 연구는‘문제해결·체험 중시 교육’에 초점을 맞춘 ‘지역문제의 창의적 해결’ 교과목을 설계하고 교과목 개설 목적과 학습자의 몰입 수준을 높이는 데 적합한 교수법과 교육내용, 평가방식을 개발·제언하였다. 끝으로,‘지역 문제의 창의적 해결’ 교과목이 대학의 혁신 방향에 맞춰 고도화되어 확대될 수 있도록 논의와 시사점을 제시하였다.

This study aims to develop a curriculum for ‘Creative Problem-Solving in Community Issues’ as a character education program to expand students' knowledge acquired at university to discover and effectively address real problems inherent in the local community, thereby fostering their practical character. Specifically, This study introduces cases of developing practical and experiential character education courses at ** University. The 2024 general education curriculum at ** University requires the development of related courses by distinguishing the character education area into ‘theoretical education’ and ‘problem-solving/experiential education.’ The following step-by-step research was conducted to achieve the research objectives. First, the university's character education courses should be designed to transcend a mere ethical dimension and align with the university's founding philosophy, vision for human resources, and the objectives of university education and general education. In this context, the objectives and core competencies of the character education course were designed to align with the university's founding principles of Truth, Faithfulness, and Love, and to ensure relevance to university education and general education. Second, this study focused on ‘problem-solving/experiential education’ and designed the ‘Creative Problem-Solving in Community Issues’ course, proposing suitable teaching methods, educational content, and evaluation methods to enhance the course's purpose and the learners' engagement level. Lastly, discussions and implications were presented so that the ‘Creative Problem-Solving in Community Issues’ course could be advanced and expanded in line with the university's innovation direction.
