古典詩歌로 추출한 여성캐릭터 연구

A study on female characters extracted from classical poetry

본 연구는 한국 고전시가(古典詩歌)를 대상으로 하여 텍스트에 투영된 여성의 욕망과 이를 처리하는 태도와 모습을 통해 다양한 여성 캐릭터를 추출하기 위한 시도이다. 주어진 시적 상황을 중요한 핵심 사건으로 가정할 때, 그 안에서 목소리를 드러내는 중심 화자는 당연히 그 시적 정황의 주인공이며, 해결되지 못한 문제들로 인해 시적 화자가 드러내는 정서는 곧 그 인물의갈등 상황을 표출하는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 무엇보다 시가 문학으로부터 인물의 캐릭터를 추출할 수 있는 가장 중요한 근거는 인간의 ‘욕망과 결핍’이라는 관점에서 접근할 때 답은 명확해진다. 한 인물을 주인공으로 만들어 주는공통적이고도 핵심적인 자질은 ‘강렬한 열망’이다. 무엇인가를 원하고 욕망하는 인물의 의지와 심리는 향유자들로부터 공감을 획득한다. 그것은 심각한정신적 번뇌나 곤경을 겪고 있는 실제 인간을 그려 내기 때문이며 아울러 일정 ‘장르’라는 제한된 영역을 벗어난 차원에서, 인간이라면 누구나 공감할 수있는 보편타당성을 지니기 때문이다. 그동안 여성 인물 형상에 대한 논의는다양한 각도에서 진행되었고 그에 따라 어느 정도의 성과도 이루어져 왔다. 하지만 이야기가 아닌 시가 장르에서 캐릭터를 추출한다는 것은 분명 의의가 있으리라 여겨진다. 여기에서는 고전시가 중에서 고려속요, 기녀시조, 사설시조, 규방가사를 주 텍스트로 삼아 여성 화자로 확정할 수 있는 작품을 채택하였다. 많은 수의 작품군이 존재하지만 각 장르별로 캐릭터가 두드러지는대표작품 2편씩만 선정하여 논의를 진행하였다. 그리하여 본고에서는 시가 속에 드러난 시적 상황을 하나의 중요한 중심사건, 핵 사건으로 상정하고 시적 화자를 그 사건의 주인공으로 설정하여 그인물의 욕망과 결핍을 처리하는 과정을 통해 과연 어떠한 인물인가를 탐색하는 작업이었다. 그 과정에서 시 속에 표현된 언어, 심리, 행위에 주목하여 분석하여 각 작품으로부터 독창적인 캐릭터를 추출하였다.

This study is an attempt to extract various female characters through the women's desires projected in the text and the attitude and appearance of dealing with them, targeting classical Korean poetry. Assuming that a given poetic situation is an important key event, the central speaker who reveals his voice within it is naturally the protagonist of the poetic situation, and the emotions revealed by the poetic speaker due to unresolved problems directly express the character's conflict situation. It can be seen as Above all, the answer becomes clear when poetry approaches the most important basis for extracting character from literature from the perspective of human ‘desire and deficiency.’ The common and core quality that makes a character a protagonist is ‘intense desire.’ The will and psychology of a character who wants and desires something earns sympathy from those who enjoy it. This is because it depicts real people suffering from serious mental anguish or difficulties, and it also has universal validity that any human being can sympathize with, outside the limited scope of a certain ‘genre’. So far, discussions on the shape of female characters have been conducted from various angles, and some results have been achieved accordingly. However, it is certainly meaningful to extract characters from a poetry genre rather than a story. Here, among classical poets, works that can be confirmed as female speakers are selected, using Goryeo folk songs, gisaeng sijo, saseol sijo, and Gyubang gasa as the main texts. Although there are a large number of works, here, only two representative works with prominent characters from each genre were selected for discussion. Therefore, in this paper, the poetic situation revealed in the poem is assumed to be an important central event, a core event, and the poetic speaker is set as the main character of the event, and the task of exploring what kind of person he is through the process of processing the character's desires and deficiencies It was. In the process, we focused on and analyzed the language, psychology, and actions expressed in the poetry to extract unique characters from each work.
