Classification of Stalking Behavior Within the Coercive Control Dimensions

이 연구는 스토킹 사건에서 스토킹 행위와 강압적 통제의 유형을 탐색적으로 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 가해자를 유형화하여 두 개념의 이론적 이해와 연관성을 명확히 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 전국 18개 경찰청에서 수집된 스토킹 사건 170건을 대상으로 잠재계층분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 가해자는 '공격적 통제형', '비대면 협박형', '착취적 접근형', '접근형' 의 네 가지 유형으로 분류되었다. 연구 결과는 강압적 통제의 유형과 수준이 스토킹 행위의 발생 양상과 연관이 있을 수 있음을 시사하며, 스토킹과 강압적 통제의 교차점을 이해하는 데 통찰을 제공한다. 이를 통해 각 개념에 대한 이론적 발전을 도모하고 위험성 평가 발전 및 피해자 보호를 위한 실질적인 시사점을 제시하였다.

This study aims to classify perpetrators based on these behaviors, thereby elucidating the theoretical understanding and the relationship between these two concepts. A latent class analysis (LCA) was conducted on 170 stalking cases collected from 18 police agencies nationwide. The analysis identified four distinct perpetrator types: 'Aggressive Control Type,' 'Indirect Threat Type,' 'Exploitative Approacher Type,' and 'Approacher Type.' The findings indicate a potential correlation between the types and levels of coercive control and the patterns of stalking behavior, providing insights into the intersection of stalking and coercive control. Through this, the study facilitates the theoretical advancement of these concepts and provides substantive insights for improving risk assessment and victim protection.
