구조화된 그룹 음악치료가 발달장애 성인의 자기 결정력에 미치는 효과

The Effects of Structured Group Music Therapy on the Self-Determination of Adults with Developmental Disabilities

연구목적: 본 연구는 구조화된 그룹 음악치료가 발달장애 성인의 자기 결정력에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 연구방법: 연구 참여자는 B시 G발달센터와 N장애인 복지관을 이용하는 만 18세부터 35세의 발달장애 성인 16명이었고, 이들을 실험집단 8명과 통제집단 8명으로 무선 표집으로 조사하였다. 실험은 2023년 10월 18일부터 2023년 11월 29일 사이 주 2회, 50분씩 12회기 동안 시행되었다. 사전·사후 검사지는 인구통계학적 질문과 함께 보호자용과 교사용 자기 결정력척도(Self-Determination Parent/Advisor Perception Scale: SDPPS/SDAPS)를 채택하여 사전·사후 검사를 시행하였다. SPSS(Statistical Package for Social Sciences) 29.0 통계 프로그램의 맨-휘트니 유 검정(Mann-Whitney U Test)과 윌콕슨 부호-순위 검정(Wilcoxon Signed-Ranks Test)을 사용하여 두 집단 간 동질성과 음악치료의 효과를 확인하였다. 연구결과: 분석 결과, 실험집단의 보호자와 교사의 평정에서 음악치료가 발달장애 성인의 자기 결정력에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 도출되었다. 그 밖의 연구자 일지, 참여자의 활동 결과물, 영상 등을 분석하여 발달장애인의 자기 결정력에 긍정적인 변화를 확인할 수 있었다. 결론: 이것은 구조화된 그룹 음악치료 프로그램이 발달장애 성인의 자기 결정력을 향상하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있는 치료 매체 중의 하나가 될 수 있겠다는 사실을 본 연구가 제안하고 있다.

Purpose: This study examined the effect of structured group music therapy on self-determination in adults with developmental disabilities. Method: Sixteen participants with developmental disabilities, aged 18-35, were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. The experiment was carried out from October 18, 2023, to November 29, 2023, with sessions held twice a week for a total of 12 sessions, lasting 50 minutes per session. Pre-and post-tests using the Self-Determination Parent/Advisor Perception Scale(SDPPS/SDAPS) were conducted. The group homogeneity and effects of the music therapy and were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U Test and the Wilcoxon Signed-Ranks Test with the SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) 29.0 statistical program. Results: The analysis results showed a statistically significant difference in self-determination between the experimental group as rated by caregivers and teachers. Additionally, through analysis of the researcher’s logs, participants’ work outputs, and video recordings, positive changes in the self-determination of adults with developmental disabilities were observed. Conclusion: This study suggests that structured group music therapy could be an effective therapeutic medium for improving the self-determination of adults with developmental disabilities.
