국가 노후보장 기대감이 고령자의 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향: 유산 증여 가능성 인식의 매개효과

The Impact of National Old-Age Security Expectations on the Life Satisfaction of the Elderly: The Mediating Effect of Perceived Possibility of Bequest

본 연구는 국가 노후보장에 대한 기대감이 고령자의 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향에서 유산 증여 가 능성 인식의 매개효과를 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 연구를 위해 2022년 한국 고령화 연구 패널 (KLoSA) 데이터를 활용하였으며, 만 55세 이상 고령자 3,630명을 대상으로 단순 매개모형을 적용하 여 분석하였다. 연구 결과에 의하면, 국가 노후보장에 대한 기대감은 고령자의 유산 증여 가능성 인 식 및 삶의 만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 유산 증여 가능성 인식은 국 가 노후보장 기대감과 삶의 만족도 간의 관계를 부분 매개하는 것으로 확인되었다. 이는 고령자들이 자신의 현재 생활뿐만이 아니라 가족과 사회를 위해 남길 수 있는 부분에 대해서 고민을 하며 이를 통해 삶의 만족을 얻는다는 것을 시사한다. 따라서 국가의 노후보장 제도가 효과적으로 작동할 수 있도록 정책의 지속성과 안정성을 보장하는 것이 중요하며, 고령자의 생활 안정뿐만 아니라 자산 축 적을 지원할 수 있는 방안을 마련해야 한다.

This study aims to analyze how the perceived possibility of bequest mediates the impact of national old-age security expectations on elderly life satisfaction. Using data from the 2022 Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging (KLoSA) and a sample of 3,630 individuals aged 55 and older, a simple mediation model was applied. The study has found that expectations regarding national old-age security have a positive impact on the perceived possibility of bequest and the life satisfaction of the elderly. Additionally, the perceived possibility of bequest partially mediates this relationship. This indicates that elderly individuals gain life satisfaction not only from their current living conditions but also from considering what they can leave behind for their family and society. The study underscores the importance of ensuring policy stability and continuity in national old-age security systems, as well as developing measures to support asset accumulation for the elderly.
