게슈탈트 이론을 통한 UI 디자인 요소 분석 프레임워크 제안 - UI 요소: 홈페이지, 메뉴, 버튼, 네비게이션 바를 중심으로

본 연구는 게슈탈트 이론의 다섯 가지 원칙(대칭성, 근접성, 유사성, 연속성, 폐쇄성)이 UI 디자인에 어떻게 적용될 수 있는지 분석하고, 이를 통해 사용자 경험(UX)을 개선하는 방법을 모색하고자 한다. 문헌 연구와 사례 분석을 통해, 홈페이지, 메뉴, 버튼, 네비게이션 바 등 주요 UI 요소에 게슈탈트 원칙이 적용되는 방식을 살펴보았다. 연구 결과, 게슈탈트 원칙은 시각적 일관성과 정보 전달 효율성을 높여 사용자 경험을 향상시키는 데 크게 기여하는 것으로 나타났다. 예를 들어, 대칭성은 탐색의 안정감을, 근접성은 정보 그룹화로 인지 부담을 줄이고, 유사성은 시각적 일관성을 통해 이해도를 높인다. 다만, 본 연구는 다섯 가지 원칙에만 초점을 맞추어 다른 상호작용 요소는 충분히 다루지 못한 한계가 있다. 향후 연구에서는 다양한 디지털 플랫폼과 상호작용을 포함해 게슈탈트 원리를 확장 적용함으로써 더욱 포괄적인 UI/UX 디자인 가이드라인을 제시할 필요가 있다.

This study analyzes how the five principles of Gestalt theory (symmetry, proximity, similarity, continuity, and closure) can be applied to UI design to improve user experience (UX). Through a literature review and case analysis, the study examines how these Gestalt principles are implemented in key UI elements such as the homepage, menu, buttons, and navigation bar. The findings show that Gestalt principles significantly enhance user experience by increasing visual consistency and the efficiency of information delivery. For instance, symmetry provides stability in navigation, proximity reduces cognitive load by grouping related information, and similarity improves comprehension through visual consistency. However, this study focuses only on the five main principles, limiting its coverage of other interaction elements. Future research should expand the application of Gestalt principles across diverse digital platforms and interactions to provide a more comprehensive UI/UX design guideline.
