With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, ideological and political education in college English courses is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges, which undoubtedly puts forward higher standards for English teachers’ professional quality. Under this background, it is a new attempt to apply drip irrigation education concept to English teaching, which provides teachers with new opportunities to innovate teaching models and methods. It can not only stimulate teachers’ subjective initiative, but also help to effectively cope with the challenges brought by artificial intelligence, improve students’ participation and learning effectiveness through extensive use of artificial intelligence technology, and then promote the deep integration of ideological and political education and professional knowledge.
