The Prominent Characteristics, Value Implications, and Enhancement Paths of the Historical Consciousness of the CPC from Three Historical Resolutions

The three historical resolutions are programmatic documents formed at major historical junctures, and are a vivid portrayal of the historical consciousness of the Communist Party of China. They illustrate the prominent characteristics of historical consciousness, namely, the conscious objective evaluation of certain important historical issues of the Party, the conscious profound summary of both positive and negative experiences of the Party, and the conscious planning of prospects around the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Historical consciousness is an important inherent characteristic of the CPC, which has important value implications for the CPC’s adherence to self-revolution, the promotion of the sinicization and modernization of Marxism, and the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. On the new journey, the CPC must follow the logic of “historical view-historical cognition-historical initiative”, further enhance historical consciousness, strengthen historical confidence, and strive for greater glory through in-depth study of Marxist historical materialism, vigorously improving the effectiveness of Party history learning and education, and always keeping in mind the specific path of the original aspiration and mission.

三个历史决议是在重大历史关头形成的纲领性文献，是中国共产党历史自觉的鲜明写照，诠释了历史自觉的突出表征，即自觉对党的若干重要历史问题进行客观评析、自觉对党的正反两方面经验进行深刻总结以及自觉围绕中华民族伟大复兴进行前景规划。历史自觉是中国共产党内在的重要特质，对于中国共产党自我革命的坚持、马克思主义中国化时代化的推进以及中华民族伟大复兴的实现，都有着重要的价值意蕴。在新征程上，中国共产党必须按照“历史观-历史认知-历史主动”的逻辑，通过深入学习马克思主义唯物史观、大力提升党史学习教育实效以及始终牢记初心使命的具体路径，进一步增强历史自觉，坚定历史自信，争取更伟大的荣光。
