During a 2020 investigation of the distribution of higher fungi in Gayasan National Park and Taebaeksan National Park, a species not previously recorded in Korea was discovered and confirmed through morphological characterization and DNA sequence analysis to be Tricholoma olivaceum. In this paper, the macro- and micromorphological characteristics of this species, as well as the results of studies of its internal transcribed spacer (ITS) sequences, are described.
