With the rapid development of information technology, the digital economy has become a significant engine driving new growth in the global economy. This paper aims to empirically analyze the relationship between digital economy performance and trade levels across different provinces in China, exploring how the digital economy influences trade growth and providing a reference for policy formulation. By constructing a theoretical framework for the digital economy and trade levels, and utilizing provincial panel data for regression analysis, this study reveals the positive impact of the digital economy on trade levels. The research findings indicate that higher levels of digital economy development at the provincial level correspond to better aggregation trends in total import and export amounts, which measure trade levels. This discovery holds significant implications for formulating policies that promote the development of the digital economy, optimizing trade structures, and enhancing regional economic competitiveness
