Analysis on the Artistic Features and Cultural Connotations of Folk Sachet in Northeast China

中国东北民间香荷包艺术特征与文化内涵探析

[Background] The Northeast region of China, as the birthplace of the Chinese hunting and gathering civilization, has a long history and a unique culture. The folk sachets native to this area, as carriers of the local culture, bear rich regional cultural information. [Objective] To analyze and discuss the shape, patterns, and colors of the folk sachets from Northeast China in conjunction with the local culture, revealing the deeper cultural connotations behind the Northeast Chinese folk sachets. [Methods] Through the collation of literature, field examination of sachet artifacts, and interviews with artisans, an analysis of the sachets' shapes, patterns, and colors is conducted to interpret their cultural significance. [Results] The Northeast folk sachets exhibit a rich variety of shapes, categorized into open-mouth and closed-mouth types, including geometric, plant, and animal forms. The patterns are divided into figurative and abstract, conveying people's spiritual beliefs and ideological concepts. The color schemes are bright and harmonious, taking into account cultural, artistic, and practical aspects. Their cultural connotations encompass Dragon Boat Festival customs for warding off evil, expressing affection, fertility worship, and seeking auspicious blessings. [Conclusion] The Northeast folk sachets reflect the unique lifestyle and folk customs of the region, embody the spiritual pursuits of the Northeastern people, and serve as an effective carrier of Northeastern folk culture. Research and preservation of these sachets contribute to the transmission of traditional Chinese culture.

【背景】中国东北地区作为中华游猎文明的诞生地，有着悠久的历史和独特的文化，原生于此的民间香荷包作为当地文化的载体，承载着丰富的地域文化信息。 【目的】结合当地文化，对中国东北民间香荷包的造型、图案、色彩进行分析与探讨，揭示中国东北民间香荷包背后更深层次的文化内涵。 【方法】通过梳理文献资料、实地考察香荷包实物及对艺人访谈，对香荷包的造型、图案、色彩进行分析，解读其文化意蕴。 【结果】东北民间香荷包造型丰富，有张嘴和闭嘴两类，包括几何形、植物形和动物形；图案有具象和抽象之分，传达了人们的精神信仰和思想理念；配色鲜艳协调，考虑文化性、艺术性和实用性。其文化内涵包括端午民俗驱毒避邪、传递情爱、生殖崇拜和求吉祈福。 【结论】东北民间香荷包体现了东北独特的生活风貌和民俗风情，反映了东北人民的精神追求，是承载东北民俗文化的有效载体，对其研究和保护有助于传承中华传统文化。
