2022 개정 영어과 교육과정에 나타난 텍스트와 맥락의 개념 검토

A review of the concepts of text and context in the 2022 revised national English curriculum

목적 본 연구에서는 2022 개정 영어과 교육과정에서 영어과 학습 내용의 범위로 도입된 텍스트 유형과 맥락 지식에 대해 검토하고 이러한 변화를 실제 학교교육에 적용할 수 있는 구체적인 교수⋅학습 방안을 제시한다. 방법 이를 위해 2015 및 2022 개정 영어과 교육과정 내용 체계를 비교⋅분석하고 이를 바탕으로 실제 언어 사용 능력을 신장시키기 위한 텍스트 기반 영어 학습 방안을 제시한다. 결과 2015 개정 영어과 교육과정과 비교하여 2022 교육과정에서는 각 영역 내용 요소에 텍스트와 맥락의 개념을 새롭게 도입함으로써 학습 내용을 체계화하는데 기여하였으나 실제 현장에 필요한 구체적인 학습 방안으로 연계되지 않고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 2022 교육과정의 취지를 교과교육적으로 연계하고자 맥락을 바탕으로 한 텍스트 의미 구성 학습을 목표로 하는 효과적인 텍스트 기반 영어 수업 모형을 제시하였다. 결론 본 연구는 2022 개정 영어과 교육과정에 새롭게 도입된 텍스트와 맥락의 개념을 학교교육에 구현할 수 있는 텍스트 기반 영어 학습 방안을 제시하였고, 이를 통해 언어 사용 교육을 강조하면서도 언어 형태 교육에 머물고 있는 현재 영어교육의 이론과 실제의 괴리를 극복하는데 기여하였다.

Objectives This study examines the types of texts and contextual knowledge introduced as part of the learning content in the 2022 revised national English curriculum and proposes specific teaching and learning methods to apply these changes in actual school education. Methods To achieve this, the study compares and analyzes the content system of the 2015 and 2022 revised national English curricula and based on this analysis, suggests a text-based English instructional model aimed at enhancing practical language use skills. Results Compared to the 2015 revised national English curriculum, the 2022 curriculum has contributed to systematizing the learning content by newly introducing the concepts of text and context into each area's content elements; however, it has not yet provided specific learning methods required in the actual school education. Therefore, this study proposes an effective text-based English instructional model aimed at constructing meaning through text based on context, in line with the educational intentions of the 2022 curriculum. Conclusions This study presents a text-based English instructional model that can implement the newly introduced concepts of text and context in the 2022 revised national English curriculum in school education. It contributes to bridging the gap between the theory and practice of current English education, which emphasizes language use while still focusing on teaching language form.
