방언 DB 구축 현황과 과제

Current Status and Challenges in Building a Dialect Database

본 연구의 목적은 방언 DB의 구축 현황을 살펴 이를 바탕으로 향후 방언 DB 구축의 방향성을 논의하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 한국학중앙연구원, 국립국어원, 한국지능정보사회진흥원의 방언 DB 구축 현황을 검토하였다. 각 방언 DB의 문제점을 살펴보고 이를 바탕으로 방언 DB 구축 과제를 데이터 수집 측면과 데이터 가공 측면에서 논의하였다. 데이터 수집 측면에서는 다양한 매체 형식의 방언 자료가 수집될 필요가 있으며, 수집 방법론적 측면에서 참여형 방언 자료 수집될 필요가 있음을 논의하였다. 데이터 가공 측면에서의 과제는 음성 가공, 데이터 분절, 전사, 라벨링, 데이터 공개의 DB 구축 단계에 따라 자세히 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the current state of dialect database (DB) construction and discuss future directions for its development. To this end, the study reviews the dialect DB construction efforts of the Academy of Korean Studies, the National Institute of Korean Language, and the National Information Society Agency. By identifying the issues within each dialect DB, the study discusses the challenges of dialect DB construction from both data collection and data processing perspectives. In terms of data collection, the study emphasizes the need to gather dialect materials in various media formats and suggests a participatory approach to dialect data collection. In terms of data processing, the study discusses challenges related to speech processing, data segmentation, transcription, labeling, and public access to the DB, detailing each stage of the DB construction process.
