This paper explores how vocational colleges can effectively integrate “Ideological and Political Education Courses” and “Curriculum-integrated Ideological and Political Education” to cultivate students’ “craftsmanship spirit” from the perspective of the “Big Ideological and Political Education Course.” With the increasing demand for technical talents in the new era, how to integrate ideological and political education with professional education in vocational colleges has become a key factor in cultivating high-quality skilled talents. The article first analyzes the importance of “Ideological and Political Education Courses” and “Curriculum-integrated Ideological and Political Education” in vocational colleges, emphasizing their role in moral education and value-based education. Through in-depth research, it is found that there is still a certain disconnection between ideological education and professional courses, lacking a systematic teaching design and overall planning. Therefore, the paper proposes strategies for coordinated planning and design at the teaching level, advocating for the rational integration of ideological education content with professional course goals, forming a complementary model between ideological education and professional teaching. Specifically, “Ideological and Political Education Courses” should be tailored to the characteristics of the profession and focus on personalized teaching, while “Curriculum-integrated Ideological and Political Education” should be incorporated into every professional course to enhance students’ sense of social responsibility and craftsmanship spirit, and cultivate high-quality talents with excellent skills and good professional ethics. Finally, the article emphasizes the collaboration of ideological and political educators with professional teachers and their leading role in teaching. It proposes strengthening the coordinated development of ideological and political education and professional education through the concept of all-round education, promoting the comprehensive growth of students, and contributing to the construction of socialist modernization.
