워크스코어(Walk Score) 구성 요인의 연령대별 중요도 및 이용빈도 분석: 대구광역시를 대상으로

Importance-Performance Analysis of Walk Score Components by Age Group: Focusing on Daegu Metropolitan City

본 연구는 대구광역시를 대상으로 근린 내 편의시설에 대한 인식을 살펴보고 이를 바탕으로 워 크스코어의 발전 방향을 모색하였다. 설문조사는 만 18세 이상의 성인을 대상으로 2022년 10월 12일 부터 11월 8일까지 약 한 달 간 진행되었으며, 총 371부의 유효응답이 분석에 활용되었다. 워크스코어 를 구성하는 9가지 편의시설과 본 연구에서 추가적으로 고려한 8가지 시설에 대한 중요도 및 이용빈 도를 조사하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 연령대별로 IPA 분석을 수행하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫 째, 공원과 마트는 전 연령에서 중요도와 이용빈도가 모두 높은 시설로 나타났다. 둘째, 의료시설과 약국은 연령이 증가하면서 중요한 시설임을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 워크스코어를 구성하는 9가지 시설 중 문화시설, 쇼핑시설, 서점은 중요도와 이용빈도가 모두 낮게 나타났다. 따라서 해당 시설이 실제 로 보행성을 측정하는데 유의한 요소가 될 수 있는지에 대한 검토가 필요하다. 본 연구는 연령대별로 구분하여 보행으로 이용하는 편의시설들을 조사하였다는 점에서 의미가 있다. 또한, 편의시설과의 접 근성을 중심으로 계산된 워크스코어의 발전방향을 제시하고자 하였다는 점에서 의의를 가진다. 향후 보행성 지수 개발, 보행활성화를 위한 정책수립에 기초자료로 활용될 수 있기를 기대한다.

This study examined the perception of convenience facilities in the neighborhood in Daegu, and used them to explore the direction of walk score development. The survey was conducted from October 12 to November 8, 2022, for adults over 18 years, and a total of 371 effective responses were used for the analysis. The importance and frequency of use of 9 convenience facilities constituting the walk score and 8 additional facilities considered in this study were investigated, and based on this, IPA analysis was performed by age group. The analysis results are as follows. First, parks and markets were found to be facilities with high importance and frequency of use at all ages. Second, it was found that medical facilities and pharmacies are important facilities in the higher age groups. Third, among the nine facilities constituting the walk score, entertainment, shopping, and bookstore showed low importance and frequency of use. Therefore, it is necessary to review whether the facility can be a significant factor in calculating walk score. This study is meaningful in that it investigated facilities used for walking by age group. In addition, it is significant in that it was intended to present the direction of development of the walk score calculated focusing on accessibility to convenience facilities. It is expected that it can be used as basic data for the development of the walkability index and the establishment of policies for activation of walking in the future.
