Ecotourism Activation Strategies for Chuncheon City to Establish an Ecotourism City: Focusing on Domestic and International Case Studies

초록

Purpose - This study aims to establish specific strategies for transforming Chuncheon into a carbon-neutral city through the promotion of ecotourism. Design/methodology/approach - The study involved reviewing ecotourism literature, analyzing successful domestic and international case studies, and proposing policy recommendations based on Chuncheon’s current status. Findings - The study identified four key strategies: establishing a carbon-neutral governance system, developing an ecotourism service platform, creating long-stay eco-tourism programs, and implementing eco-city regeneration initiatives. Research implications or Originality - This research proposes an ecotourism model that contributes to Chuncheon's sustainable development while supporting global carbon neutrality goals.
