Purpose : This survey aimed to examine spiritual nursing competency, empathy, and bioethics awareness and identify the effects of empathy and bioethics awareness on the spiritual nursing competency of university students who majored in nursing. Methods : A sample of 167 students was recruited from August to September 2023 and data were analyzed for descriptive statistics and multiple regression using the SPSS 25.0. Results : Factors influencing spiritual nursing competency were empathy, bioethics awareness, satisfaction with school life, and experienced education for spiritual nursing were associated with which explained 26% of the variances (F= 12.14, p<.001). Conclusion : The results showed the necessity for nursing students to develop intervention programs to strengthen spiritual nursing competency through educational content on empathy, bioethics awareness, and spiritual nursing, as well as school-level efforts to improve school life satisfaction, are required.
