편전(片箭) 쏘는 방법 硏究

이 연구는 편전(片箭)쏘는 방법에 대해 알아보았다. 편전은 보통 화살보다 그 길이가 짧아 통아(筒兒)라는 것을 사용하여 쏘게 된다. 통아를 사용한 편전 쏘기는 쉽지 않으며 본 연구자의 편전 쏘는 방법은 활을 쥐고 있는 손으로 통아를 잡은 다음 다른 한 손으로 편전을 통아에 넣으면서 활시위에 오늬를 끼우고 통아 끈을 손가락이나 손목에 감은 후 활시위를 당긴다. 편전이 아닌 보통 화살을 활시위에 거는 것과 비슷하다. 일반적인 사람들은 통아에 달린 끈을 의식하여 편전을 쏘고 나서도 통아의 끈을 손가락이나 손목에 감고 있어 통아는 매달려 있다. 본 연구자는 편전을 통아에 넣고 화살을 쏠 때만 끈을 손목이나 손가락에 감고 다시 장전할 때는 손을 끈에서 빼내어 다음 편전을 준비한다. 본 연구자의 편전 쏘는 방식은 말을 타고 달리며 활을 이용해 화살을 쏘는 기사(騎射)에 원활하며 연사(連射)와 속사(速射)를 가능하게 한다는 결론을 얻었다.

In this study the researcher introduced the way of using Pyeonjeon(片箭). Usually Pyeonjeon is shorter than an arrow, so Tong-a(筒兒) is need. But it is not easy to shoot a Pyeonjeon using a Tong-a. The researcher’s method of using a Pyeonjeon is as follows. Hold the Tong-a with the hand hoiding the bow, with the other hand, while putting the Pyeonjeon in to the Tong-a, insert the O’nee on the bowstring, wrap the Tong-a’s string around the finger or wrist, and pull the bowstring. Put the Pyeonjeon in the Tong-a and insert the O’nee’s part of the Pyeonjeon on the bowstring. It is similar to basic way of hanging an arrow on the bow. Being conscious of the Tong-a’s string, wrap the string around finger or wrist when shoot the Pyeonjeon. The researcher suggest that it would be more proper to put Pyeonjeon in to Tong-a and wrap only when shooting and when reload, take your hand out of the strap and prepare the next Pyeonjeon. This method makes it possible to Gisa(騎射) ride a horse and shoot arrows using a continuously and fast.
