예비 중국어 교사의 중국어 성조 교육에 대한 인식

Analysis of Pre-service Chinese Language Teachers’ Perceptions on Chinese Tone Education

본 연구는 예비 중국어 교사들의 중국어 성조 교육에 대한 인식을 심층적으로 분석하고, 교육 현장에서의 실제적인 문제점과 그 해결 방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구 대상은 서울 소재 H대학교에서 중국어교육을 전공하는 대학원생 15명으로, 이들이 작성한 실험보고서와 질의응답 자료를 바탕으로 성조 교육에 대한 인식을 고찰하였다. 연구 방법으로는 음성 분석 도구인 Praat을 활용하여 성조의 물리적 특성(음높이, 음길이 등)을 시각적으로 확인하고, 이를 바탕으로 성조 발음의 오류와 교정이 필요한 부분을 파악하였다. 연구 결과, 예비 교사들은 성조 교육의 중요성을 인식하고 있었으나, 음성 분석 도구의 활용에 대한 부족함과 과잉 교정 등의 문제를 겪고 있었다. 이러한 문제들은 성조 교육의 효과를 저해하는 요소로 작용하고 있으며, 이를 해결하기 위해 보다 정교한 교수법과 실제 교육 현장에서 적용 가능한 도구와 방법론의 개발이 필요함을 제언한다. 본 연구는 예비 교사들의 성조 교육 능력을 향상시키기 위한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있으며, 나아가 중국어 발음 교육의 질적 향상에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

This study aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of pre-service Chinese language teachers’ perceptions of Chinese tone education and to propose practical solutions for the challenges they face in the educational field. The research subjects were 15 graduate students majoring in Chinese language education at H University in Seoul. Through the analysis of practice reports and Q&A sessions, this study explored their understanding and difficulties regarding tone education. The research methodology employed the Praat speech analysis tool to visually examine the physical characteristics of tones, such as pitch and duration, and to identify errors and areas requiring correction in tone pronunciation. The findings revealed that while pre-service teachers recognized the importance of tone education, they encountered issues such as insufficient use of speech analysis tools and overcorrection. These problems are identified as obstacles to effective tone education, and this study suggests that more refined teaching methods and practical tools be developed to overcome these challenges. This research can serve as foundational data to enhance pre-service teachers’ abilities in tone education and contribute to the overall improvement of Chinese pronunciation education.
