신쾌동류 거문고산조 중중모리 리듬분석

Rhythmic Analysis of Jungjungmori in Sin Kwaedong-ryu Geomungo Sanjo

본 연구는 신쾌동류 거문고 산조의 중중모리 장단에 나타나는 리듬구조를 분석하였다. 중중모리는 산조에서 중간템포에 해당하는 장단으로 2분박,3분박,혼합박의 조합을 통해 긴장과 이완을 조율하며 고유한 리듬적 특징을 드러낸다. 본 연구는 리듬형을 세부적으로 분류하고 각 리듬형의 구조적 특징과 역할을 탐구하였다. 특히 밀붙임과 같은 리듬요소를 추가적으로 구분하여 곡의 전환과 리듬적 표현에서 이들의 역할을 구명하였다. 분석결과 2분박은 단순하면서도 안정적인 리듬 패턴을 통해 곡의 구조를 견고히 하며 곡의 시작과 안정적인 구간에서 주로 활용된다. 3분박은 긴장감을 조성하고 곡의 전개를 역동적으로 이끌며 음악적 표현력을 강화하는 데 기여한다. 혼합박은 2분박과 3분박이 조화를 이루어 곡의 긴장과 이완을 균형있게 조율하며 리듬의 다양성을 강화한다. 밀붙임은 곡의 전환과 연결에서 중요한 역할을 하며 독창적이고 다층적인 리듬 구조를 만들어낸다. 이를 통해 신쾌동류 거문고산조 중중모리 장단은 전통적 장단체계를 바탕으로 하면서도 창의적이고 유기적인 리듬적 특징을 보여준다. 본 연구는 신쾌동류 산조의 리듬적 특성을 학문적으로 조명하며 전통음악 리듬연구의 심화와 확장을 위한 기초자료를 제공할 것이다.

This study analyzes the rhythmic structures of the Jungjungmori jangdan in the Shinquae-dong style Geomungo Sanjo. Jungjungmori, a medium-tempo jangdan in Sanjo, balances tension and release through the combination of duple, triple, and mixed beats, showcasing distinctive rhythmic characteristics. The study categorizes various rhythmic patterns and investigates their structural features and roles. Additionally, rhythmic elements such as “Milbutim” are further identified to explore their roles in transitions and rhythmic expression. The analysis reveals that the duple beat provides a simple yet stable rhythmic pattern, reinforcing the structure of the piece and often appearing at the beginning or in stable sections. The triple beat contributes to creating tension and dynamically drives the progression of the music, enhancing its expressive power. The mixed beat harmonizes the duple and triple beats, balancing tension and release while enriching rhythmic diversity. Milbutim plays a key role in transitions and connections, forming unique and multi-layered rhythmic structures. These findings highlight that the Jungjungmori jangdan in the Shinquae-dong style Geomungo Sanjo retains the foundation of traditional jangdan systems while exhibiting creative and organic rhythmic characteristics. This study academically illuminates the rhythmic features of Shinquae-dong Sanjo and provides fundamental resources for the deepening and expansion of traditional music rhythm studies.
