This study identified the working conditions and salary levels of hairdressers, and investigated the effects of salary level and self-efficacy on happiness. This study aimed to provide basic data for recognizing the importance of hairdressers' self-efficacy and happiness, and to develop various ways for the industry to take the lead in enhancing hairdressers' sense of happiness by drawing out inherent potentials into strengths. The following conclusions were obtained through research: First, the working conditions of hairdressers were similar to those in previous studies, with more than 50% of the subjects working more than 6 days a week and 9 hours a day. Second, the average monthly salary significantly affected the level of happiness. Third, it was confirmed that self-efficacy acts as an important factor in increasing external, internal, and self-happiness, and it was found that the higher the hairdresser's self-efficacy, the higher the happiness. The study results showed that the average monthly salary should be adjusted upward to suit reality, supplementary measures for weekend or overtime work, a fun work environment that can increase self-efficacy, and the expansion of educational opportunities to strengthen individual capabilities are needed. Therefore, it is believed that the hair beauty industry urgently needs to come up with concrete, actionable measures to improve the happiness of the workers in the industry.
