The Impact of Resilience on Adaptation to College Life and Career Decision Level among Students Majoring in Cosmetology

While striving for a decent job is important for college students, it's equally essential for them to cultivate resilience to better adapt to college life and improve their career decision-making. In this study, a questionnaire survey was conducted among cosmetology students through both online and paper formats. A total of 258 responses were collected and analyzed using SPSS 25.0, employing methods such as frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, multiple regression analysis, and one-way ANOVA. The Duncan test was used for post-hoc analysis. The results revealed the following: Cosmetology students with higher resilience and better college life adaptation demonstrated a significant positive relationship with their career decision-making levels. This suggests that increased resilience and adaptability can positively influence their career choices. Furthermore, when cosmetology students are more goal-oriented, their resilience can lead to improved career decision-making. Enhancing resilience and adaptability not only strengthens their influence in the cosmetology field but also improves their personal outcomes. This emphasizes the importance of nurturing resilience and adaptability to support better career decision-making.
