본 연구는 Ethernet 포트가 없는 Human Machine Interface(HMI)를 RS-485 통신을 통해 네트워크에 통합하는 방법을 탐구한다. 이를 위해 PE-11을 활용하여 Ethernet와 RS-485 간의 프로토콜 변환을 실현하고, HMI와의 통신을 구현한다. 연구는 문제 정의, PE-11 분석, 통신 프로토콜 설정, 실험 및 평가, 그리고 실제환경 적용 가능성 평가 단계로 진행된다. 연구 결과는 Ethernet 포트가 없는 HMI의 RS-485 통신 연구에 대한 실용적인 해결책을 제시하고, 산업 자동화 분야에서의 적용 및 신뢰성을 확인한다.

This study explores the integration of Human Machine Interface (HMI) without an Ethernet port into a network using RS-485 communication. To achieve this, the study utilizes PE-11 to realize protocol conversion between Ethernet and RS-485, enabling communication with the HMI. The research progresses through stages of problem definition, PE-11 analysis, communication protocol configuration, experimentation and evaluation, and assessment of real-world applicability. The research presents a practical solution for RS-485 communication on an HMI without an Ethernet port, confirming its applicability and reliability in the field of industrial automation.
