UX 리서치 과정 중 리서처-디자이너 간 의견차이 패턴 이해 - 실무 리서치 프로젝트 사례 분석 중심

Understanding Dissensus Patterns between Researchers and Designers in UX Research Process : focusing on case study of practical research projects

현대 사회에서 사용자 경험(UX)의 중요성은 점점 더 강조되고 있으며, 특히 기업의 성공을 좌우하는 핵심 요소로 자리잡고 있다. 사용자 중심 제품과 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 UX 리서치와 디자인 분야의 긴밀한 협업이 필수적이지만, 각 직무의 관점 및 사고방식 차이로 인해 협업 과정에서 크고 작은 이견이 필연적으로 발생한다. 본 연구는 UX 리서치 프로젝트 진행 시 리서처와 디자이너 간의 관점 차이로 인한 의견차이 패턴을 정의함으로써 보다 원활한 의견 조율과 협업에 기여하고자 했다. 실무 UX 리서치 프로젝트 3건을 사례로 정성적인 분석을 진행한 결과, 표본 설계, 질문지 개발, 분석 및 보고서 작성 단계에서 주로 의견차이가 발생하였으며, 이는 리서처의 데이터 중심적 접근과 디자이너의 실용적 접근 방식의 차이에서 비롯됨을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 UX 관련 세부 직무 간의 협업 중요성을 강조하며, 향후 더 나은 협업 구조를 구축하는데 기여할 수 있는 기초 자료를 제공하였다.

In modern society, the importance of User Experience (UX) is increasingly emphasized, particularly as a key factor determining the success of businesses. Delivering user-centered products and services requires close collaboration between UX research and design fields, yet differences in perspectives and approaches between these roles often lead to inevitable conflicts during the collaboration process. This study aims to contribute to smoother communication and collaboration by defining the patterns of disagreement that arise between researchers and designers during UX research projects. Through a qualitative analysis of three practical UX research projects, the study found that significant disagreements mainly occurred during the stages of sample design, questionnaire development, and analysis/reporting. These conflicts stemmed from the data-driven approach of researchers contrasting with the more practical approach of designers. This research highlights the importance of collaboration between specialized UX roles and provides foundational insights for building more effective collaborative structures in the future.
