파라메트릭 디자인 기반 디지털 건축의 유기적 표현 특성 연구 - 1997년 이후 준공된 대표적인 디지털 건축 중심으로

Research on the Organic Expression Characteristics of Digital Architecture Based on Parametric Design : focusing on prominent digital architecture projects completed since 1997

정보 기술의 발전으로 디지털화가 건축 설계의 중요한 흐름으로 자리 잡으면서, 디지털 건축 개념이 점차 실무에 적용되고 있다. 본 연구는 디지털 건축을 중심으로, 파라메트릭 디자인에 기반한 기술적, 구조적, 형태적 세 가지 구조와 아홉 가지 특성을 분석하였다. 또한, 디지털 건축의 유기적 표현에 대한 열두 가지 특성을 종합하고, 그 특성을 상호 관계성, 비선형성, 추상성으로 정리하였다. DDP를 포함한 네 가지 실제 사례를 분석하여, 디지털화가 단순히 복잡한 건축 형태에 대응하기 위한 기술적 선택일 뿐만 아니라, 건축 발전과 자연스러운 유동성 표현이라는 개념을 따르는 경향임을 탐구하였다. 파라메트릭 디자인을 활용한 디지털 건축은 복잡하고 비선형적인 형태를 구현할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 자연의 논리를 시뮬레이션하여 건축, 환경, 기능 간의 조화로운 공생을 실현할 수 있다. 본 연구를 통해 디지털 건축의 유기적 표현에 새로운 관점을 제시하고, 디지털 기술의 건축 분야 적용 확대를 촉진하기를 기대한다.

This paper focuses on digital architecture, analyzing the technical constructs of parametric design, boundary conditions, and non-Euclidean geometry, along with nine distinct characteristics. It further summarizes twelve characteristics of the organic expression of digital architecture. Ultimately, the paper consolidates the organic expression characteristics of digital architecture under parametric design into three main aspects: relationality, non-linearity, and abstraction. Through the analysis of three practical cases, including DDP, it concludes that parametric design enables digital architecture to not only present complex non-linear forms but also facilitate a harmonious coexistence between architecture, the environment, and functionality.
