근거이론에 기반한 어린이집 교사의 장애 위험 영유아 지원에 관한 연구

A Grounded Theory Study on the Support of Young Children at Risk for Disabilities by Daycare Center Teachers

본 연구는 어린이집에서 장애 위험 영유아를 지원하는 교사들의 경험을 파악하고 이와 관련된 환경과 맥락을 심층적으로 밝히는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 근거이론(grounded theory)방법을 적용하여 장애 위험 영유아를 지원하는 어린이집 교사의 경험과 지원 과정 등을 질적 자료로 수집하고 분석하였으며, 연구 참여자 총 17명을 면담하고 수집된 자료를 개방 코딩, 축 코딩, 선택 코딩 방법으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 총 170개의 개념과 44개의 하위 범주, 15개의 상위 범주를 도출했으며, 범주 간 관계를 중심 현상, 인과적·맥락적·중재적 조건과 작용/상호작용, 결과를 포함하는 패러다임 모형으로 제시하였다. 축 코딩의 과정 분석 결과 ‘갈등 단계’, ‘극복 단계’, ‘성장 단계’의 3단계로 분석되었으며, 선택 코딩 결과 핵심 범주는 ‘교수 수행의 갈등 극복 과정을 통한 성장 경험’으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 중심으로 장애 위험 영유아를 지원하는 어린이집 교사들을 위한 보다 실질적이고 효과적인 지원 전략을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to identify the experiences of teachers supporting infants and toddlers at risk of disabilities in daycare centers and to deeply reveal the environment and context related to this one. To this end, grounded theory was applied to collect and analyze qualitative data on the experiences and support processes of daycare teachers supporting infants and toddlers at risk of disabilities. A total of 17 research participants were interviewed and the collected data were analyzed using open coding, axial coding, and selective coding methods. As a result of the study, a total of 170 concepts, 44 subcategories, and 15 supercategories were derived, and the relationships between categories were presented as a paradigm model including the central phenomenon, causal , contextual , and mediating conditions, and actions/interactions, and results. The results of the process analysis were analyzed into three stages: ‘Conflict stage’, ‘Overcoming stage’, and ‘Growth stage’, and the core category as a result of the selective coding was ‘Growth experience through the process of overcoming conflict in teaching performance’. Based on the results of this study, more practical and effective support strategies were suggested for daycare teachers supporting infants and toddlers at risk of disabilities.
