노량진로 주변의 수평적 도시조직의 형성과정에 관한 연구 - 도시 경관의 형성과 도시기반시설에 대하여

A Study on the Formulation of the Horizontal Urban Strips around Noryangjin-ro : On the Formation Process of Urban Landscape and Infrastructures

본 연구는 노량진을 대상으로 근대화 과정에서 노량진에 도입된 도시기반시설이 오늘날 노량진의 도시경관에 미친 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 과거 신문기사와 지도, 항공사진 분석을 통해 노량진 도시기반시설 변화에 따른 공간적 변화를 조사하였다. 노량진은 한강을 건너는 교량이 건설된 이후 도심에서 가장 가까운 근대화의 배후지의 성격을 가졌으며, 이에 따라 노량진에는 이를 뒷받침할 수 있는 도로망 건설, 도심 재편성에 따른 시장이나 학원가 등의 이전 등이 이루어졌다. 도로망의 경우 내부의 가로망보다는 노량진을 통과하는 동서방향의 교통망이 발달함에 따라 동서방향의 선형성을 갖는 도시조직들로 분절되었으며, 각 조직은 철도역, 교량, 대로 등의 교통 접근성에 따라 서로 다른 프로그램과 용적 밀도를 갖게 되었다. 이러한 프로그램이나 밀도는 현재 노량진 주거지역의 뉴타운 개발에 있어서 재정비 촉진지역과 존치관리지역을 나누는데 영향을 미쳤으며, 이에 따라 이러한 동서방향의 밀도에 차이에 의한 도시 경관은 지속될 것으로 보인다.

This study examines the impact of the modern urban infrastructures and transportation systems introduced in the Noryangjin areas during the postwar periods. As the construction of the first crossing bridge in the Han River proceeded Noryangjin became the closest hinter land to the old town Seoul. Accordingly the construction of a new urban expressways as well as the relocation of old markets and schools from the old town to Norayngjin were carried out. The Noryangjin areas were physically divided into linear urban tissues as the newly introduced car roads and railways had been developed along the East-West direction. Depending on the accessibility to the new urban strips from the new railway station, pedestrian bridges and car roads, various programs, volumes and densities were gradually allocated to them. As a result they have influenced the formulation of unique commercial and residential landscape of Noryangjin with the Noryangjin Fisherie Market, the Gosiwon village and the low-rise housing district, develoed in parallel with Norayngjin-ro. Moreover the Noryangjin new town re-development plans of 2024 are based on the historically driven horizontal urban programs and densities where the areas for preservation are also found, which will continuously influence the future landscape of Noryangjin.
