Introduction and Application of the Multiple Event Process Survival Mixture Model

본 연구의 목적은 다양한 사건의 발생 여부와 시점을 고려하여 잠재집단을 도출하는 방법인 다중사건과정 생존혼합모형을 소개하고, 실제 자료에 적용하는 것이다. 이를 위해 한 가지 사건에 대한 생존분석과 혼합모형을 설명하고, 둘을 결합한 생존혼합모형을 소개한 후, 더 나아가 다양한 사건에 대한 생존혼합모형인 다중사건과정 생존혼합모형을 소개하였다. 특히, 다중사건과정 생존혼합모형에 대해서는 기본 개념, 분석 시 주의할 점, 자료의 적합성, 선행연구 사례 등을 제시하여 이해를 돕고자 하였다. 이후, 국내 교육 관련 실제 자료인 서울교육종단연구 초4 패널 자료를 활용하여 초6부터 고3까지 다양한 학교폭력 가해행동(집단따돌림, 신체폭력, 악소문유포, 금품갈취, 협박)의 최초 발생위험에 대해 다중사건과정 생존혼합모형을 적용하여 분석하고 결과를 제시하였다. 본 연구는 다양한 사건 발생을 동시에 고려하며 유형화하는 방법을 소개하고 실제 자료로 분석한 결과를 제시하였으므로, 다양한 사건 발생에 대해 연구하는데 도움이 될 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to introduce and apply the Multiple Event Process Survival Mixture (MEPSUM) model, a method for identifying latent classes by considering the occurrence and timing of various events, and to apply it to real data. To this end, survival analysis and mixture models for a single event were explained, followed by an introduction to survival mixture models that combine the two. Furthermore, MEPSUM, which is designed to analyze multiple events, was introduced with a focus on its fundamental concepts, considerations for analysis, data suitability, and examples from prior studies to aid understanding. Subsequently, the study applied MEPSUM to real data from the Seoul Education Longitudinal Study to analyze the initial risk of various school violence perpetration behaviors (e.g., bullying, physical violence, rumor spreading, extortion, and threats) from 6th grade to 12th grade. By introducing a method for simultaneously considering and categorizing the occurrence of multiple events and presenting analytical results using actual data, this study aims to contribute to research on the occurrence of educational and social events.
