직장에서의 자폐인 지원 관련 국내외 질적연구 동향 분석

Literature Review of the Qualitative Research Trend on Supporting Autistic People in the Workplace

본 연구는 자폐인을 위한 직장에서의 지원과 관련된 질적연구의 동향 및 내용 분석을 통해 고용 환경에서의 지원 관련 시사점과 후속 연구의 방향을 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 논문 선정 기준에 따라 총 18편의 연구를 선정하였고, 연구의 전반적인 동향 및 자폐인의 직장생활 경험과 직장에서 제공한 지원 및 지원 요구를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 연구에 참여한 자폐인은 다양한 고용 분야에서 직무를 수행하고 있었으며, 개별화된 지원이 제공될 때 직장생활에서 긍정적인 경험을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 관리자 및 동료와의 관계, 조직 문화 및 분위기 또한 자폐인의 성공적인 직장생활에 영향을 미쳤으며, 직장에서 가장 많이 제공받은 지원은 환경 수정과 업무 수행 지원인 것으로 나타났다. 자폐인의 성공적인 업무 수행과 고용 유지를 위해서는 자폐의 특성에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 이들을 적절하게 지지해 줄 수 있는 유연하고 지속적인 지원이 중요하다. 이와 관련해서 고용 환경의 지원 및 후속 연구를 위한 시사점을 논의하였다.

The aim of this study was to examine the implications and identify future research directions regarding support for autistic individuals in employment settings. This objective was accomplished through a comprehensive analysis of trends and detailed findings from qualitative research on workplace support for autistic individuals. Based on the selection criteria, a total of 18 studies were selected. Overall research trends, the work-life experiences of autistic people, the support provided at work, and identified support needs were analyzed. The results showed that autistic participants were employed across various fields and had positive experiences at work when individualized support was provided. Relationships with managers and coworkers, as well as organizational culture and climate, also influenced the successful employment of autistic individuals. Environmental modification and job performance support were the most common types of support provided. To enable autistic individuals to perform their jobs successfully and remain employed, providing flexible and ongoing support based on an understanding of the characteristics of autism is essential. Implications for support in employment settings and directions for further research are discussed herein.
