미등록 자폐성장애인의 장애 등록 경험에 관한 탐색적 연구

An Exploratory Study on Experience of Disability Registration in Unregistered Autism Spectrum Disorders(ASD)

본 연구의 목적은 미등록 자폐성장애인의 장애 등록 경험과 지원 요구를 탐색하는 데 있다. 미등록 자폐성 장애인을 대상으로 한 선행연구가 제한적이므로, 미등록 자폐성장애인과 일대일 심층 면담을 시행하여 자료를 수집하였다. 연구 대상은 여성 2명과 남성 5명 총 7명의 남녀 미등록 자폐성장애인이며, 수집된 자료는 질적 내용 분석 방법을 활용하였다. 자료 분석 결과 장애 인식 시기, 장애 등록 경험, 미등록 자폐성장애인으로서 어려움, 지원 요구 4가지의 주제 아래 10가지 상위범주와 26개의 하위범주가 도출되었다. 분석 결과를 통해 미등록 자폐성장애인들의 어려움과 삶에 미친 영향을 확인하였고 당사자의 관점이 반영된 지원 요구를 확인할 수 있었다, 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 미등록 자폐성장애인이 경험하는 어려움을 해소하는 방안을 모색하기 위한 논의를 진행하였다.

This study aimed to explore the experiences of disability registration and support needs of unregistered Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Data were collected through in-depth one-on-one interviews with seven participants with unregistered ASD (female: n=2, male: n=5) and analyzed using qualitative content analysis. The analysis identified 10 categories and 26 subcategories organized under four themes: time of disability recognition; experience of disability registration; challenges faced by unregistered individuals with ASD; and support requirements. The findings revealed their difficulties, the effects of living without registration, and their support needs, providing insights into their perspectives. The solutions to address these difficulties are discussed based on the study’s results.
