성적 괴롭힘 피해연예인을 위한 인권행동의사에 정서적 성숙이 미치는 영향과 신체매력 후광효과인식 및 인권인식의 매개효과 검증

The Influence of Emotional Maturity on Human Rights Action Intentions Among Celebrities Victimized by Sexual Harassment

본 연구는 정서적 성숙이 성적 괴롭힘을 당한 연예인에 대한 인권행동의사에 미치는 영향을 분석하며, 이 과정에서 신체매력 후광효과에 대한 인식과 인권인식의 이중매개효과를 성별 및 세대 특성(MZ 이전세대 vs. MZ세대)의 조절효과를 반영하여 검증하는 것을 목표로 한다. 연구자료는 전국에 거주하는 25세에서 59세 사이의 성인 남녀 624명을 대상으로 실시한 설문조사를 통해 수집되었다. 자료분석은 구조방정식모델링을 활용하여 AMOS와 Mplus로 수행되었다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성적 괴롭힘 피해연예인에 대한 인권인식은 남성보다 여성이 더 높게 나타났으나, 인권행동의사에서는 성별 차이가 없었다. MZ세대보다 MZ 이전세대의 인권인식이 높았으나, 인권행동의사에서는 두 세대 간 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 남성과 여성 모두 그리고 MZ세대는 정서적 성숙도가 높을수록 인권행동의사도 증가하였다. 정서적 성숙이 인권행동의사에 미치는 긍정적 효과는 인권인식의 향상을 통해 증가하는 것으로 밝혀졌으며, 이에 따라 인권인식의 부분매개효과가 검증되었다. MZ 이전세대의 경우, 정서적 성숙이 인권행동의사에 직접적인 영향을 미치지는 않았으나, 인권인식의 향상을 통해 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나, 인권인식의 완전 매개효과가 확인되었다. 셋째, 여성과 MZ세대에서는 신체매력의 후광효과에 대한 인식이 높을수록 정서적 성숙이 인권행동의사에 미치는 긍정적 효과가 감소하여, 신체매력 후광효과 인식의 매개효과가 검증되었다. 이러한 현상은 남성과 MZ 이전세대에서는 관찰되지 않아, 성별 및 세대특성의 조절효과가 확인되었다. 주요연구결과를 바탕으로 실천적 함의를 논의하였다.

This study investigates the impact of emotional maturity on intentions to engage in human rights actions for celebrities who have experienced sexual harassment, with a focus on the dual mediating roles of perceived physical attractiveness halo and human rights awareness, alongside moderating effects of gender and generational differences (pre-MZ vs. MZ generation). Data were gathered from a nationwide sample of 624 adults aged 25 to 59 and analyzed using structural equation modeling with AMOS and Mplus. Results indicate that while women show higher human rights awareness than men regarding sexually harassed celebrities, gender differences are not observed in human rights action intentions. Additionally, the pre-MZ generation demonstrates higher human rights awareness compared to the MZ generation, with no significant generational difference in action intentions. Emotional maturity positively correlates with human rights action intentions across genders and within the MZ generation, mediated in part by increased human rights awareness. For the pre-MZ generation, emotional maturity indirectly affects action intentions via full mediation through human rights awareness. Finally, among women and the MZ generation, heightened perception of the physical attractiveness halo effect weakens the positive impact of emotional maturity on action intentions, illustrating this perception’s mediating effect. No similar effect is found in men or the pre-MZ generation, underscoring the moderating role of gender and generational characteristics. Practical implications of these findings are discussed.
