Dental Hygienists’ Oral Health Care Competency Evaluation Rubric Feasibility Study: Targeting Elderly People with Mobility Issues

Objectives: This study developed a rubric to evaluate the capabilities of dental hygienists required to perform oral health care tasks for elderly people with mobility issues and analyzed its validity. Methods: The content validity index were verified through first and second Delphi surveys and analyzes targeting a group of experts related to oral health management. Results: The rubric was revised and supplemented to reflect the opinions of the first Delphi, and after the second Delphi survey. Conclusions: A competency evaluation rubric for dental hygienists who perform oral health care tasks for elderly people with mobility issues was developed, and validity were verified. By evaluating the capabilities of dental hygienists who perform oral health care for the elderly using this rubric.
