The Impact of Clinical Dental Hygienists' Overcoming Power and Burnout on Organization Commitment

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of clinical dental hygienists' overcoming ability and burnout on organizational commitment. Methods: The study was conducted through a questionnaire targeting 256 clinical dental hygienists from October 1 to December 31, 2023. Results: As a result of this study, the higher the degree of burnout, the higher the degree of problem solving and the lower the organizational commitment, so the higher the ability to overcome, the lower the degree of burnout and the higher the organizational commitment (p<0.001). Due to the influencing factors, it was found that both burnout and overcoming ability have an impact, while burnout shows a positive (+) relationship with overcoming negative (-) organizational coping. Conclusions: In order to increase the organizational commitment of clinical dental hygienists, the development of programs or verification of factors that can reduce the experience of burnout and create an environment to increase the ability to overcome should be sought.
