Objectives: This study was conducted to provide basic data necessary for the promotion and prevention of oral health in rural areas of Nepal. Methods: The collected data of this study were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 21.0 (IBM Co. Armonk, NY, USA). Frequency analysis was performed on oral health behavior, permanent tooth caries status, Oral hygiene management ability index(PHP index) and number of calculus carriers. Results: As a result of analyzing the permanent tooth caries status by age, the permanent tooth caries prevalence rate by age was 76.7% at 12 years old, which was higher than the 6.9% permanent tooth caries prevalence rate in 12-year-old children in Korea. The permanent tooth caries prevalence rate by age was 13.3% at 12 years old. Conclusions: Oral health education is systematically conducted centered on schools and oral health management products are appropriately supplied it is believed that it will help promote oral health. It was assessed that various support is needed so that this activity can become a sustainable oral health promotion project rather than a one-time activity.
