한국 수출경쟁력 품목의 한-UAE CEPA 활용 전략

A Study on the Utilization Strategies of Korea-UAE CEPA for Korea's Export-Competitive Products

한-UAE CEPA는 한국이 아랍권 국가와 체결한 첫 번째 자유무역협정으로, UAE는 중동 지역뿐 아니라 아프리카와 남아시아를 잇는 물류 허브로서 이 지역 내 우리 기업의 진출 확대에도 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다. 따라서, 본 연구는 한-UAE CEPA의 의미와 특징을 정리하고, 한국의 수출경쟁력 상품 중 UAE의 주력 수입품목을 대상으로 관세 양허, 원산지규정, 시장 상황을 종합적으로 고려하여, 한-UAE CEPA의 활용 전략을 구체적으로 제시하였다. 본연구는 UAE의 품목별 수입 현황과 연계해, 협정 활용 시 시장 확대가 가능한 품목을 도출하고 포괄적·종합적으로 분석하였다는 점에서, 연구의 정책적 활용성이 높으며 기존 연구와 차별성을 지닌다.

The Korea-UAE CEPA is the first free trade agreement that Korea has signed with an Arab country. The UAE, as a logistics hub connecting the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, is expected to greatly facilitate the expansion of Korean companies into these regions. Therefore, this study analyzes the significance and characteristics of the Korea-UAE CEPA and suggests specific utilization strategies by comprehensively considering tariff concessions, rules of origin, and market conditions for the UAE's main import items among Korea's export-competitive products. This study has high policy applicability and is different from previous studies in that it suggests items that can expand the economic market when utilizing Korea-UAE CEPA, and analyzes them comprehensively.
