생성형 AI 시대의 교양교육 - 생성형 AI 가이드라인과 생성형 AI 리터러시를 중심으로

The General Education in the Era of Generative AI

이 연구는 생성형 AI 시대의 교양교육의 방향성을 생각해 보는 데 있다. 2022년 말 새롭게 등장한 생성형 AI는 2년 동안 대학의 연구, 교육 등 다양한 분야뿐 아니라 인간의 삶에도 많은 영향을 미치고 있다. 이에 생성형 AI에 대한 연구와 생성형 AI 가이드라인 데이터를 키워드 분석 방식을 통해 확인하여 2년 동안 생성형 AI에 있어 어떤 문제를 대학 교육이 고민하고 있는가를 확인하였다. 이를 통해 표절과 윤리 교육의 필요성을 확인하였다. 또한 새롭게 논의되기 시작한 생성형 AI 리터러시 연구를 살펴보아 대학 교양교육의 방향성을 확인하였다. 전공과 삶에 있어 기초 교육이 될 수 있는 대학 교양교육은 기술에 대한 수용성을 높이는 것이 중요한 것이 아니라, 학습자가 빠르게 변화하는 기술에 영향을 받는 사회를 이해하고 이를 바탕으로 주체적이고 비판적이고 윤리적으로 자신의 삶을 디자인할 수 있는 방법을 고민할 수 있도록 설계하는 것이 필요하다. 현 시점에서 이러한 논의는 기술에 경도된 대학 교양교육의 변화를 경계하며 다시 한번 인문학 교육 및 비판적 사고 교육의 본질을 고민하게 하는 데 중요한 의미를 가진다 하겠다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the direction of general education in the era of generative AI. Although generative AI, first introduced at the end of 2022, is only two years old, it has already had a profound impact not only on various fields such as academic research and education but also on roader aspects of human life. To investigate the concerns of university education regarding generative AI over the past two years, a keyword analysis was conducted to identify relevant research and guidelines. This analysis highlighted the critical need for education in areas such as plagiarism and ethics. Additionally, by examining recent studies on generative AI literacy, this study identifies a new direction for general education. General education, which serves as foundational preparation for both students' academic majors and their lives, should not merely aim to increase acceptance of technology. Instead, it should help learners comprehend a society changing due to generative AI. This approach encourages students to design their subjective, critical, and ethical lives. At this juncture, where there is concern about general education shifting to focus on technical education, this discussion holds significant meaning as it makes us think about the nature of humanities education and critical thinking.
