교양교과 운영에서 익명 채팅 도구 활용의 효율성 및 요구 분석

Analysis of Student Needs for the Use of Anonymous Chatting in Liberal Arts Education

본 연구는 대학 교양교육 과정에서 익명 채팅 도구 시스템의 활용이 학습의 질, 효율성, 및 학생 만족도에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 이를 통해 학습자들의 요구를 파악하고자 하였다. 상명대학교 학부생 588명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 통해 데이터를 수집하였으며, 설문은 사용 경험, 익명성의 장단점, 효율성, 만족도, 학습의 질 향상, 기술적 측면, 및 요구를 포함한 39개의 문항으로 구성되었다. 연구 결과, 익명 채팅 도구는 대형 강의의 효율성을 높이고 교수 및 학생 간의 상호작용을 촉진하며, 학생들의 학습 만족도를 크게 향상시켰다. 특히, 익명성은 학생들의 수업 참여 부담을 낮추고 토론에 적극적으로 참여할 수 있는 환경을 조성하는 데 기여하였다. 반면, 부적절한 행동의 증가는 미미한 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 다양한 과목 및 대규모 강의에서 익명 채팅 도구의 활용이 학생들에게 유용하다는 결과가 도출되었다. 이러한 결과는 교양교육에서 익명 채팅 도구 시스템의 도입과 확장을 고려할 중요한 시사점을 제공한다.

This study explores the impact of using anonymous open chatting systems in university liberal arts courses on learning quality, efficiency, and student satisfaction, while identifying the demands of learners. Data were collected through an online survey of 588 undergraduate students at Sangmyung University, comprising 39 questions about usage experience, pros and cons of anonymity, efficiency, satisfaction, learning quality improvement, technical aspects, and demands. The findings indicate that anonymous open chatting enhances the efficiency of large lectures, fosters interactions between instructors and students, and significantly improves student satisfaction. Anonymity was found to reduce the burden of class participation and facilitate active engagement in discussions. Meanwhile, the risk of inappropriate behavior due to anonymity was minimal. The study also revealed that anonymous open chatting is beneficial in diverse subjects and large-scale classes. These findings suggest important implications for adopting and expanding anonymous open chatting systems in liberal arts education.
