프로젝트 기반 학습(PBL)을 활용한 요청-거절 화용 수업 방안 연구

A study on request-refusal pragmatics instruction using Project-Based Learning

본 연구는 PBL(Project based Learning) 기반 역할극을 활용한 요청-거절 화행 수업 방안을 탐구하고, 학습자들이 문화간 의사소통에서 직면하는 화용언어적 및 사회화용적 문제를 해결하는 데 중점을 두었다. 수업의 결과물로서 과제 활동지, 역할극 발표, 성찰일지를 분석한 결과, 학습자들은 사회화용적, 문화적 차이를 인식하고, 공손 표현의 필요성을 보다 깊이 이해하게 되었다. 또한, 학습자들은 요청-거절 상황에서 적절한 언어 표현과 비언어적 요소를 활용하여 실생활에서의 의사소통 능력을 향상시킬 수 있었다. 특히, 수업의 만족도가 높았으나, 학습자들은 더 심층적인 이해를 위한 충분한 시간 확보의 필요성을 제시하였다.

This study explores the instructional design of request-refusal speech act lessons using PBL-based role-playing, focusing on resolving pragmatic and sociopragmatic issues that learners face in intercultural communication. By analyzing student outputs such as task worksheets, role-play presentations, and reflection journals, the study found that learners deepened their understanding of sociocultural differences and recognized the importance of politeness strategies. Additionally, learners improved their communication skills by appropriately utilizing verbal and non-verbal expressions in request-refusal scenarios. While the overall satisfaction with the course was high, learners emphasized the need for more time to engage in deeper understanding.
