한국어 교재에서의 ‘만큼’, ‘대로’, ‘뿐’ 제시 현황과 개선 방안

Presentation Status and Improvement Suggestions for ‘mankeum‘, ‘daero‘, and ‘ppun‘ in Korean Language Textbooks

본고는 한국어교육에서 독자적인 위치를 차지하고 있는 ‘만큼’, ‘대로’, ‘뿐’의 문법 항목에 대해 현행 한국어 교재들의 제시 양상을 살펴보고 이를 바탕으로 개선 방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이들 문법 항목은 조사와 의존명사로서 이중적 성격을 지니고 있어 한국어 학습자들에게 여러 혼란을 주는 요소로 작용해 왔다. 본고는 네 가지 현행 한국어 교재를 분석의 대상으로 채택하였는데, 분석 결과 교재들이 해당 문법 항목을 제시하는 방식에 일관성이 부족하며, 학습자들의 이해를 돕기 위한 체계적인 접근이 미흡함을 확인하였다. 따라서 본고는 이들 교재가 가지는 장단점을 위주로 일곱 가지 개선 방안을 제시하였다. 첫 번째로, 의미 중심의 통합적 제시가 이루어져야 한다는 것이다. 두 번째로는 기본 문형이 체계적으로 제시되어야 한다는 것이다. 세 번째로 예문이 기본 문형과 일관성을 가져야 한다는 것이며 네 번째로 유의어가 있다면 제시해야 한다는 것이다. 다섯 번째로는 괄호나 마침표를 적절하게 활용해야 한다는 것이다. 여섯 번째는 연어 구성이 있다면 이를 제시해 주어야 한다는 것이고 마지막으로는 간단한 것에서 복잡한 것으로 나아가는 단계적 제시가 이루어져야 한다는 것이다. 본고는 이러한 제안 방안을 ‘만큼’, ‘대로’, ‘뿐’에 적용하여 각각의 기본 문형과 의미를 제시함으로써 앞으로의 교재 개발과 문법 항목 제시 연구에 실질적인 기여를 하고자 한다.

This study aims to examine the presentation patterns of the grammatical items 'mankeum', 'daero', and 'ppun' in current Korean language textbooks and propose improvements based on this analysis. These grammatical items, functioning as both particles and bound nouns, have dual characteristics that have been a source of confusion for Korean language learners. The study analyzes four current Korean language textbooks and finds that there is a lack of consistency in how these grammatical items are presented, and a systematic approach to facilitate learners' understanding is insufficient. Consequently, this paper proposes seven improvement strategies based on the strengths and weaknesses of these textbooks. First, presentation should be meaning-centered and integrated. Second, basic sentence patterns should be presented systematically. Third, example sentences should be consistent with the basic patterns. Fourth, synonyms should be presented if available. Fifth, parentheses and periods should be used appropriately. Sixth, collocations should be presented if they exist. Lastly, presentation should progress from simple to complex in a step-by-step manner. Furthermore, this study applies these proposed strategies to 'mankeum', 'daero', and 'ppun', presenting their basic forms and meanings, aiming to make a practical contribution to future textbook development and research on grammatical item presentation.
